I Cut My Own Hair!

So I slept in...and stayed in bed way longer than I wanted to originally. I reasoned that weekends throw off the bus schedules and it would probably ruin my attempt to get a haircut in town, so I just stayed in bed longer and reasoned I'd do it tomorrow.

Then I washed my hair and got a scissors and cut the bangs off. It's nice to see again! And it's quite noticeable.

Then I read some, had breakfast, and eventually it came time for the Darling Harbour event. We left a little late because everyone had to get ready. Myself, Alvin, Langsoon, Ish, Saskia, and Selina all went together. On the way there I watched an episode of Naruto. Also on the way back, another episode.

We got a little lost that lasted for about 2 minutes then found our way. We sat on the harbour and they were doing a thing about the past 25 years. I've only been there for a couple months so it wasn't interesting to me at all. Finally at 6 they started. There were tons of people there. I took some photos and a couple videos but the battery was running out so I didn't take as much as I'd like to have.

So many people were there! Here is the photo album. It was cool to see so many gathered in one spot and singing so loudly. Reminded me of a Dr. Seuss scene. At one point the speakers went dead and I don't think the band noticed, but everyone kept singing. They still played and had the words up so it was amazing that it kept going. Then everyone cheered when they got it working again. Before it started I got Langsoon, Alvin and I subway sandwiches. Gotta love the BMT. Towards the end Alvin and I went to Maccas but the queue was so long, so we got ice cream instead. I had forest berry cheesecake! Oh so good, like Cold Stone!

We left early since it was getting dark and cold. But Ish and the Swiss girls stayed behind. Cameron was also there but not with us. Apparently they had fireworks after we left. Cool. Not that bummed that I missed it though. It was cold!

At home now and I read some and now about to go to bed. Haircut tomorrow hopefully! And I will try to finish one exam and prepare my entire presentation, or at least half.

The rate is still .66 today. And on iTunes I accidentally bought 2 songs! Ack. Not even good ones too. Sucks. It was kinda cold out today. I need a nice hot day to go to the beach soon!

One reason I can't wait to go home is because of the timezone. In America, stuff happens. I'm asleep when everything happens. Huge events are always in America. TV is basically American. Movie releases are mostly American. Video game releases are American. All my good friends will be awake when I am!
