Oztralia

I might call it Oz from now on. It's a nickname I've seen at least once.

Today I slept in a little while 4 students from Bethel (in the group I came with) went to the zoo all day. I went with the other Bethel student, the 2 Swiss girls, and the guy from PNG to Darling Harbor for World Youth Day. Again, so many people, it's crazy. Cameras do not do it justice. Everywhere you looked were people. Pictures do not take all 360 degrees into account.

I did take more pictures though. They can be found HERE.

I might ask someone I live with if I can imitate them to speed up this accent I'm going to develop. We'll see. Coming home was interesting. The subway was packed with people all leaving.

They had set up 10 different stations that each had a different reenactment of Biblical events with Jesus before he died. Via video screens, everyone could view all 10 and most places were the location of 1 reenactment. The harbor where we sat was station 7--Simon carries the cross for Jesus. I mentioned I saw this before, but it was just rehearsal. I didn't know. This was 10x better. They played a didgerido and it sounds awesome.

My favorite question to ask Australians is, "Do all Australians hate Americans?" just because the answer is always interesting. I have only asked this once and I don't plan on asking it a lot, just to be safe.

They don't have to worry about student loans since their government pays for their schooling. :(
They don't have to worry about rust since they don't have to worry about salting the roads since they don't have to worry about snow. :(
They don't have to worry about heating bills or air conditioning since the weather is mostly bearable with a heater or fan, depending on the season. :(
Their dollar is doing better than the American dollar now. :(

Wow, lucky you got to be part of World Youth Day! And the stations you mention are the Stations of the Cross. :D I've seen re-enactments of them during Lent, but I'm guessing what you saw was better. XD

And lol, do post the replies to your question. Sounds interesting, for sure. XD

I missed out on the stations of the cross and everyone tells me they were great. I'm not particularly into WYD but I'd have liked to see them for interests sake. Also, correction with student loans, we do have them and most students end up with a significant debt at the end of university. I am only in second year and my debt is around $15K I think. :'(

By the way, I'm Gary's friend. Gary being Primatech's infamous Coach Gary. Heh.
