Today was tiring for just about everyone I came into contact with. I'd never yawned as much before in my life. I've gotten less sleep though. Weird. Photography was good. I was inspired for my project as I tried to get to sleep the night before. Talk about last minute inspiration. I took a picture of a classmate reading a book from behind, and the angle was over her shoulder. I should have put more effort into it and done it earlier, since I want to have an image, instead of text, in the book pages. I figured I'd do it in photoshop. I still think it wouldn't look as good if I printed a picture and taped it to the book or whatever. We tried putting a mirror there and got a weird shot of the girl's face on the page, but the mirror was obviously there so I duno how I can use that.
The teacher's mannerisms are hilarious. Someone was asking for his help and opinions and he kept saying, "yeah. yeah. sure. yeah. sure. yeah. ok. sure." and nothing like what she was asking. I was cracking up silently. It's just how he is. He says yeah a ton. A lot of aussies do actually. "Yeah" or "hey" are their filler words. A lot like our "like" and "ok." I forgot to pack a lunch besides a banana so I was hungry as I worked on my paper for the rest of the day in the library. I got a little under half done. I'll try to double it tonight and then finish it off after class tomorrow by 4pm. After that I rode home, then ate some candy, and tried to see if there was a deal still going for a computer game that I played last night called Peggle. It was 50% off this weekend, for $5 instead of $10. I tried buying it before dinner. All of my ways of buying it failed because I am in Australia and it requires you to be where your card is from. Paypal would have taken a few days (the deal is probably over now) and so I got lucky when I asked a favor of someone I know in the States. He gave it to me as a gift and in the next few days when I am able, I will reimburse him. With a dollar extra for his trouble.
Dinner was a bit later than normal so I went upstairs to the common room to wait. Friends DVDs were on and a bunch of people were watching. A bunch of people were also laying around half asleep or asleep. It was crazy. Everyone was so tired today. Some didn't even have dinner. I don't blame them. It was lettuce and that Shephards-Pie-but-not-really stuff and a hard roll. The pie stuff has meat, potatoes, and some sauce. It's like lasagna, except instead of noodles, it's potato mush, and instead of tomato sauce, it's an excuse for sauce that has no distinguishable taste and is probably there just to keep it together. I especially don't like it because it's so close to lasagna which is a favorite of mine, yet it is nothing at all like it. It's like white chocolate. Nasty.
After that I went back to my room and ended up beating Peggle. I feel a little bad I wasted so much time, but I think I needed it. I just ate some Oreos and milk and now I'm gonna work on adding 1000 more words to my paper.
I also heard Ash and Andrews .midi compositions for their class. It's heaps cool what they've done. Their assessment is an original piece in midi format. Midis are things that you have these set instruments (most popular ones used are usually available) and you pick the notes and it puts it all together for you. And they layer it with other instruments, etc. It's really cool hearing their works progress.
It was about 80 degrees F at one time today for sure when I checked, maybe higher when I didn't check. Also, someone online that I have played Xbox with online and he has heard my voice, he asked for a voice clip last night on the computer and I spoke just a little. He said he heard a slight aussie accent. I don't believe him. It was just sorta funny to hear from someone.
I have taken a strong liking to making fun of Ash's making fun of American accents. He does one and it's so over the top American, it's hilarious. And now when I do it back, it's just as hilarious.
Cheers!
