Ah! So I got to bed at 11 last night which was amazing. I was well rested and set my alarm for 7:15. I actually woke up at 7 and didn't get up because I wanted the extra 15 minutes. Next thing I know, it's 7:56 and the shuttle leaves at 8! Ah! I raced downstairs, washed my hair, and looked to see if the shuttle was there or not. I saw Langoon pulling out in his car, so I waved him down. He's in my class so that was lucky. He missed the shuttle too so I got really lucky when he gave me a ride.
Class was ok, and I rode the bus home after. I didn't really dress warm so waiting for the bus was hard since it was so cold out. It's supposed to be summer! Finally got on the bus and then was about 15 minutes early at the burwood bus. I decided to stop by the donut shop quickly before it came. Oh, Australians think it's really weird to eat donuts for breakfast. They see them as a snack. Mine was double chocolate marble. The frosting was weird though. It was more solid than normal. Like I could have broken the entire frosting off as one piece. It was like a piece of chocolate from a candybar. Still wonderful! I miss donuts.
There is not a day that goes by where someone without a muffler (or a modified muffler to make it super loud) doesn't drive by. It's ridiculous. I won't miss that for sure.
Then I came home and went online to figure out stuff dealing with my registration for Bethel. I still have to sort out if I need an Interim class. I'm kinda thinking I won't spend $500 for a class I don't need. I also watched Heroes online and talked to my bro about my dad. The funeral will be while I sleep, I think. He said he'd email me with how it went.
Bernard and Mariange are now gone to the island off of Madagascar where they are from, to see Bernard's mom in the hospital. They're gone til the 12th of November, just a few days before I'm off. It's a sort of bittersweet that's more sweet than bitter for the people in Concord Student Housing. We have a new cook, Joel, and so far...it's good. Today he asked some people's opinions actually. Unheard of! Before we were asked but nothing was done about it. Hopefully he'll actually listen...
Tonight dinner was great. We had slices of pork, green beans (oh how I missed green beans!), and potato and pumpkin hunks. Mmm.
I suppose I'll try to get to bed early tonight too. This sleep thing works if I try hard enough! But it's my UTS class anyways, that will be awesome no matter how sleep deprived I am.
