My Birthday!

Well last night I was up a bit late so I opened up my card and gift from my family. Plenty of treats inside and I will enjoy it all! And a nice crisp $50 trapped inside a box that I have to figure out or smash open. I still haven't tried. Then I went to bed.

Last night we watched a TV show/documentary on obese kids from the US. I think I'll do my best to not each before bed from now on...

I woke up, took a bus to the train station instead of walking, did my regular journey to UTS, and actually got there early. It was good since I had to print my paper out there and I had no idea how to. So I got there and wandered around to find the computer lab we saw during the tour. I found it pretty quickly. I logged in and had to fiddle around a little to get the thing to load all 3 files I needed to print out. I hit print and ran into a snag. I didn't know where the printer was!

I nudged the dude next to me and he pointed me in the right direction. Nothing came out. The printer sat there saying READY at me like it forgot what it was. I looked around and saw a kiosk that had my student ID number and said "Print Jobs" and when I tried, I of course had insufficient funds.

So I walked around trying to find a place to put funds in whatever I had to put my funds in. I asked a lady at the student center. She gave me (wrong, I think) directions to a machine and I walked around until I found it. I put $2 in just in case, even though it only cost .66. I went back to the computer lab and was happy to find my print jobs weren't gone. I printed them off just fine and couldn't find a stapler so I just waited for the shuttle while reading some Catch-22.

Shuttle'd to the other campus, napping on the way, went to the library over there and asked for a stapler. Got one and took care of that. Then I bummed around in the computer lab until class. We had another sub so my main teacher has only been there for 2 classes so far. Haha. Class was ok. We got to leave early and I followed my classmates to the spot to hand in my paper. Then I caught the shuttle back early! So that was awesome. I was home almost an hour earlier than normal. I took a short nap before dinner.

I got more cards and that was nice! Dinner was chicken and rice. Not bad. I'll have to munch on my treats from the family later. And the economy is changing so fast! It was .74/1 and then earlier today it was .68 and then it was .65 and now it's .66. Great news if it keeps dropping. I should buy something...but nothing big and not a lot.

We watched some of The Mighty Boosh which is a show from New Zealand maybe? Or England? Or Australia? I duno, somewhere, pretty crazy funny. Then I got the Peggle trial on my computer and played that a bit. I'm pretty tired now so I'm off to bed. Happy Birthday to me...

Nothing else special, but it's not a big deal. I'll celebrate when it's more convenient and safe and when more people are around to celebrate with. They did sing for me at dinner and that was nice.
