Manly in Manly!

So I got up at a decent hour to do stuff before I talked to my mom on the phone to use up the last minutes on the card. I left at about 2:30.

After that, I went on the bus to the train station and then took a train to Circular Quay. I found the ferry just fine but then I sorta freaked out since I had no idea where to go after that! The ferry was the coolest part! I had no idea where Manly was exactly. The ride was about 35-40 minutes long! I took tons of pics! I got off the ferry, walked along the pier since there was only one way to walk, and then sure enough was the beach right to the left. It was about 1000x smaller than bondi. But less crowded too. I liked Bondi much more though. This was just another beach. The ride over there was better than the beach. Bondi was not just a beach. Bondi was a beach fit for the world. Still I'm glad I saw the drastic change between the two! This time I didn't get any in my mouth. Yesterday I thought I cut my lip before I remembered that it was salt water...haha.

I laid on the sand for a little, dipped my feet in, and laid in the sand more. I decided not to swim because it was just a hassle. So I laid for a little over an hour before checking when the next ferry was gonna leave. I had time for a quick bite and was a bit hungry then, so I had another super expensive cheeseburger from McDonald's for $2 before getting on the ferry again. Love that ferry!

I got back around 7 again. I didn't really eat because it was Mariange's leftovers tonight. I had toast and peanut butter a lot.

The exchange rate is at .64 now.

It's about 70 degrees Fahrenheit now and past midnight. HOT. I still can't believe I went to 2 beaches in NOVEMBER. Crazy. But I'm kinda looking forward to snow. I just looked in the mirror and actually think I got color in my face today. Slightly reddened. Not burned which is good. Yay! I will come back and people will hopefully know by looking. Not pasty white.

Langsoon drove Ish and I (after we waited in his car for about 10 minutes at least while he tried to get it to start...) to Alvin's place. It turns out it was a surprise and he didn't know. We got there and he wasn't there. Bummer. Ish and I went walking a ways down by a park nearby to see if he was there with his girlfriend. He wasn't. Sad. We turned back.

A bunch of us finished the 2nd season of Dexter tonight. I still haven't seen the beginning of it. We then watched the first episode ever. And now bed. I said goodbye to Lauren last night and Doug tonight. And as you can see, Nilli wrote a blog as me just before this, while a bunch of us watched a ventriloquist that Vivian actually thought he had a guy backstage doing the voices...

Tomorrow the plan is to see Alvin in the morning somehow through Langsoon, go to Wesley quick and do an evaluation while I get reimbursed for meals at Blue Mountains, and then the Rocks until 7ish. The rest of the night will be goodbyes and hanging out and packing up. I will miss this place!
