Bondi Beach!

I set my alarm but ended up sleeping in accidentally...I remember my dream sorta. I dreamt of fog and a nature scene. Very thick fog. I think I thought I was at the beach and it was a crappy weather day. But it ended up being very nice!

So I ended up leaving for Bondi at around 2:30pm after a quick breakfast. At the bus stop I was BIT by two ANTS! I couldn't believe it. Normal, tiny ants. Like little pinpricks. I rode the bus to the train station, rode the train station to Central, found another train to transfer to that went to Bondi Junction, rode that and got off to look for a bus that went to Bondi beach. Found that and rode a bus to the beach. It was SO HUGE! Bondi is world-famous.

I've never seen a bigger beach. I took a video! I won't put that up yet though. Here is the photo album! Only the video truly captures the size of the beach though.

I don't know if I wrote about this before or not, but so I don't forget, how funny is it that the Swiss girls thought "fines applied" meant "thank you." The bus says, "No smoking. Fines apply." Hahaha...

And our bell peppers are called "capsicum" here. Weird.

Bernard and Mariange are back now. I guess Bernard's mom is not in any better condition than before. Bummer...

I went in the water after finding a spot for my junk. I trudged through the sand. The waves were decent. Big enough to move me, but not make me go under. Whenever the waves came at me, it was like a shot of adrenaline coursing through my veins. WOW! It was so cold! Quite the jolt. So I did that for a little, watching other people do the same as me, jumping up at the waves and having fun. I eventually laid down and my towel was rather small...but oh well. I laid there for awhile before going back out and getting wet again. I laid a little bit more and decided to go back. I hopped on the first bus I saw because it was going to Circular Quay. Probably not the best idea. Let's just say I sacrificed length of travel time for certainty of knowing where I was going.

Circular Quay was the last stop and the one I know of. I didn't know how long the bus ride would be to get there. I had no idea where Bondi was or where I was in Australia. I still don't. I looked like such a tourist gawking through the bus windows and everything. The bus passed "Bondi Junction" which is where I got on the bus from the train. The bus passed "Museum" which is another train station I've seen but not gone to. It passed "Martin Place" also. Every time I saw a train station, it was always after the bus left and getting off at the next stop would probably make me lost since the bus traveled so far since the station. Although at Martin Place, I was too indecisive to get off. So I ended up on the bus for about an hour until it finally got to where I knwe it was going. If I went to the other stations, I would have had to transfer trains though. Circular Quay has one straight to where I needed to go. So I did gain that.

On the bus ride the guy next to me was a little worried about getting wet when he noticed I was sitting on my towel. I was more sitting on it because it was easier than because I was wet. My towel was more wet than my swimsuit because of the sun. But he felt it and it was damp and he didn't like that at all. I said sorry and did a little to move it. It was not close to touching him at all, but oh well. And on the train ride a bunch of Indonesian or Polynesian or something-nesian kids sat by me. Every once in awhile, one would look me in the eye. They were all talking in another language and I have no idea what language it even was. I was pretty paranoid about them talking about me...oh well.

I ended up getting home shortly after 7. It was an all day thing! I didn't wear any suntan lotion and I don't think I got tan. Maybe tomorrow at Manley beach.

I ate leftover chicken. I guess Joel cooked tonight (whoo!). We said goodbye to Lauren and then played in the laundry room by going inside the dryer and taking pictures...

I never watched an episode of Naruto or played Guild Wars. Kinda proud of that actually.

Then after that I watched a ton of a TV show called Dexter that's from Showtime. I like it. And now I'm gonna go to bed before getting up to talk to my mom and then head off to the other beach.

I'm torn though. I might have to go to Wesley. I had to get money because I was never reimbursed. I also have to print and hand in an evaluation. Dang. That ruins my Friday. Sorta. Blah. We'll see.

And I found out my flights leave earlier than before so I don't have to sit at Denver for too long. That's awesome.
