Aussie Snacks!

I felt bad about this morning. I was too tired and went back to bed instead of helping Alvin unpack. I should've gone to bed sooner. So I didn't get to see his place. His girlfriend comes tomorrow but he said he will be too busy with her and finding a job to really hang out so I'm crossing that off my list.

Today I went to the store and got Aussie snacks including tim tams, vegemite, milo, and banana lollies. I have 2 bags of banana lollies and 2 packages of tim tams. The vegemite is the smallest, since you don't need a lot per person. The milo is a pretty decent size tin. Exciting! Ish and I helped Alvin bring back his groceries since he got so much. So I sorta redeemed myself from the morning. Ish was in the same boat with the not helping him unpack.

Got back and did the usual. The Swiss girls made chocolate fondu and that was awesome. Dinner was ham in a white-sauce pasta. Tomorrow Mariange and Bernard are supposed to get back. We'll see how that goes...it sure has been nice though.

I looked up the people in my classes next semester. Looks like a lot of overlapping, because we're all English majors. So that will be cool.

I also watched Heroes and a podcast. Bush's secret service codename is Tumbler and Obama's is Renegade. Cool. No Veteran's Day down under. They have National Remembrance Day which I think is the same.

I also made my Christmas list:
-$10 iTunes
-Xbox Marketplace points
-Rock Band 2
-Electric Razor Kit
-Wii Fit
-iPod power adapter
-A list of movies that keeps growing that I have to chip away at

A couple days ago I saw a scale behind the curtain for Mariange's entrance room thing. I weighed myself. I sure hope that's broken. I think it's broken. It says I gained 15 pounds. Although, if it is true, it's not all bad. I haven't noticed weight gain in unwanted areas...and my pants still fit the same as always, so I want to get home and weigh myself just to be sure. Weird.

One thing I remember saying I would do while here was visit as many churches as I could to experience as much as I could. I wanted to try a new church every week. Now I see the folly of that goal because the logistics of it are horrible. I am glad I went to Hillsong as much as I did, and even got to the Korean church once. I sorta wanted to go to Hillsong in the city, but transportation wouldn't be pretty. Not having a car here sure hindered me in ways I had no idea about. I envy Cameron and his parents with the rented one. Also, now that my time here is winding down, I'm trying to cut back on money spending as much as possible. So I'm extremely limited in things to do. I think I'm even waiting to get home before I see Burn After Reading. It'll be cheaper.

I need to buy a souvenir shirt for myself, my mom, and friend still. I will probably do that Friday.

The rest of the time here I have to:
-Go to Bondi Beach (tomorrow)
-Go to Manley Beach (thursday)
-See Chopper (movie--it's in the common room) --I won't die if I don't see it. I saw Ned Kelly and that's Australian without the F-word every other word...apparently
-Video at The Rocks (friday)
-Pack and go!

Now I just gotta keep this! I'm going to bed earlier than previous nights for motivation.
